Moonwater - thanks for the input. I''d forgotten about the Ritani Endless Love. I was/am not worried about the culet hitting my finger, just about the overall comfort of the ring with the open design. I''m less paranoid after talking to folks here!

One beautiful plus about the exposed cutlet is that it''s EASY to keep clean. Seriously! My ring still glows like the moment I took her out of the box.
Good for you , and congratulations!!!!

I had it made.... and it had many, many problems.... and I ended up returning the setting and am now looking for the perfect solitaire to put my stone back into.

I do love your ring though!

Just wanted to say that is a beautiful solitaire! I have no advice on the "bottomless" part.

ETA: oh I am sorry! Shame on me for not reading the whole thread. Good luck on your search.

I am a little late to the party here, but this is my e-ring.

I also have a space between the shanks and have never had the problem you are worried about. When my finger swells and I take my ring off all I see is the indentation of the whole ring.

I hope that helps, best of luck.

Oh, by the way, I am getting married TOMORROW!
