So, we found a ring that we both love (she is over the moon with it) but it's from a specific designer who happens to have a B&M dealer nearby. We haven't found anything even close to it, it's from Frederick Sage:
We're dead set on a cushion, and not an antique cushion. I'm Partial to the H&A super ideals from GOG (brellia), BGD, or maybe the blue Nile signatures. She isn't as sure, so a really well cut modern cushion would be on the table.
Budget for the diamond is 8-9k USD
Really two questions... What's the best way to put together our eventual diamond choice and the ring, seeing as not many vendors carry the ring we want, and I imagine I'll be buying the diamond from BGD, GOG, JA, BN, or someone similar.
Second, maybe some suggestions of alternative non-branded diamonds. And the moment GOG doesn't have a brellia really in that price range, this one is close tho:
