Hi everyone.

I found a breast lump this weekend. I have already had many benign tumors removed, but this one fees different so
I am asking for PS dust!
Got rid of the excess baggage (uh hum JA) so hopefully all will be ok with my health!
I do not see a dr for a few weeks and then probably will have to book ultrasound a few weeks after that......

Dust to you! :wavey:

I hope this is another benign one. Hugs! :wavey:

Dust! Hope you're ok!

DUST Abby, lots of it!

oh no!! stay positive Abby, you've been thru so much, this will be yet another benign lump and you can move forward with nothing but positive stuff ahead!!!!
DUST DUST DUST DUST DUST DUST DUST...... and a bit more DUST!!!

Lots and lots of dust. (hugs) too.

Dust to you :saint:

Abby, I am so sorry. But why are they making you wait weeks for confirmation? Insist you want to see someone now, for your own peace of mind. Sending prayers and dust that it is just a false alarm.

Hopefully it's nothing!

Dust, dust, dust for you... Positive thoughts and well wishes...

trucks to dump dust on you backing up, beep, beep, beep!

Nothing but good wishes and dust to you!!!! I hope it's benign.

sending a truck load of dust to you :!:

My heart goes out to you. This is an issue close to my own heart as my grandmother died of breast cancer and my mother is currently Stage IV breast cancer.

Now, the first thing is that you should be seen by a doctor asap. Because he/she won't know by feeling the lump, and will send you for tests, which will then take a little while to set up. So do everything that you can to move up that initial appointment.

Secondly, the vast, vast majority of lumps are benign.

Thirdly, let's say worst case scenario: Well over 90% of women diagnosed hit the five-year survival mark, and a full 83% hit the ten-year. I know two 85-year-olds that had it 2-3 decades ago and they're fine.

My mother had it in 1999. Out of all the women diagnosed, only a mere 20% have it spread. If it does spread, it can then be controlled for years. My mother has it in spine and pelvis but she got the right drugs three months ago and now she feels one hundred percent, is skipping around like March hare and booking cruises. She is 70. Her doctor says that she will live out her natural lifespan or something close to it - and that's with a cancer that was medium aggressive with an initial 3cm tumour.

My point is, firstly it's probably not cancer, and secondly, if it is, the treatments are so good that you would have many, many, many years - and that's IF you had it and IF it spread! 80% of those diagnosed never have it spread.

So although it's ultra-scary, there is so, so much reason to hope. It isn't like some other cancers that are very deadly. You can live with breast cancer for decades, and it probably isn't cancer anyway!

Lots of dust heading your way Abby, sorry to hear about this and hoping for the very best outcome.

Sending dust your way!!!!!

***Dust***Dust***Dust*** and sending good vibes your way Abby!!!!

HUGE buckets of dust coming your way!!!

Dust and hugs!!!

Dust and good health vibes your way.

Did your doctor's office say they couldn't get you in for a few weeks? I'm also in Ontario (I think you're here right?) and I had a similar scare last year. The doctor's office squeezed me in for 5 minutes to get me the requisition forms I would need to get tested. They can't get you in to get you the forms?

Wishing you good health & speedy resolution!

Lots of dust, and good luck to you!

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Abby! I hope that you get an appt. sooner rather than later. Knowing what you're dealing with is always easier than worrying about what might be....

Hugs to you and truckloads of PS dust!

Lots of dust and prayers for you Abby! Try not to stress about it! I know, that is easier said than done.

If you are in Canada, just go to a walk-in clinic. Go early when they first open. They will get the ball rolling.
If that doesn't work, take a day you're off and go to your dr first thing and wait. Say you're mentally traumatized with worry and need to be squeezed in TODAY so you can get your needle biopsy or whatever scheduled ASAP.
Be the squeaky wheel.

Smith1942, that was a really nice post! I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother's and mother's cancer. I'm glad your mum seems to be doing so well!
