I managed to find one of the strong blue D color. I am waiting for the stone to arrive and see it in person. Hopefully its not hazy. Should I be concern of durability issue for a feather in SI1 ? Pls advise if it is a good performer:) thanks in advance

Tks Garry ! I''m gonna take the ideal scope with me to view the diamond:) Is the diamond of a good proportion? I understand that the feather should not be close to the girdle and culet as it might be prone to breakage? I there anything else I should take note? Tks!

culet is fine.
Girdle usually is too.
i do not like surface reaching over table / crown facets junctions

Proportion looks good.

The diamond looks promising Chico, plus you have your IS so you are all set by the sound of it!

Tks Stone cold and Lorelei! Is USD 1995 a reasonable price? So feather should preferably not be around the girdle or break the surface. What about crystal? any specific spots to look out for? tks!

Chico, is the diamond being sold from a store jeweller or from an online vendor? This can have an influence on price. Crystals should usually be ok.

A few prices of similar from online vendors.

Thanks to all for the input! Yes this is from an established Jewellery chain store (Aspial).Apparently they are offering the ''lowest deal in town'' for GIA diamonds. However, I do find that its not so ''low'' afterall:) But a point to note, it will come with a approx 2.5 gram 18k white gold soltitaire ring setting. And another plus point is that I can view the diamond before making any decision. Thanks for the helpful reference Lorelei! Their purchaser had seen the diamond, she reported no haziness under sunlight. Hopefully that''s true. Hopefully its eyeclean and crystal are not dark. So do you think the price is right? To be exact its SGD 2768. tks

The price seems to be what I would expect from a brick and mortar jeweller, typically their prices are higher than online. So to clarify with the setting the price is $2768 USD?

Do you think that the price is fair?

If it is for the entire piece, stone + setting, sounds fair to me.
