Howdy all. It''s time to take the plunge into the wedded world. I''m looking into a brilliant round, 1.25-1.5ct, H, VS2/SI1, (hopefully) excellent cut. I''d say that I''m hooked on cut more than anything. Sparkle is king in my tiny male mind.

As for settings, I''m looking at something similar to the ArtCarved 31-V120ERD-E in platinum.

The biggest question is can this be done for $10K?

I''m in western PA, but I travel to the Washington DC area very frequently. I am quite familiar with Albert Smyth in Baltimore as well.

Thanks all.

Hi, and welcome to Pricescope!

Yes, you should be able to do this with 10k, but are you going to be ok with purchasing online? It will be much harder to do this for 10k at a local jeweler, but you should be able to online. Just as a start, here''s one that''s pretty close to your criteria from GoodOldGold:

You can use the search box at the top of the page to find what you want from any of the trusted PS vendors. When you''ve found a stone, bring it back here and we''ll let you know what we think. Good luck with your search!

And don''t worry about the tiny male mind. Some of us guys know what we''re doing and every gal here will tell you that cut is king as well!

Hi welcome to Pricescope. I like to use this tool for searching and select excellent excellent for cut; it should bring up several options http://www.pricescope.com/sift.aspx With SI stones you will want to verify with the vendor that they are eye clean.
