I am afraid of being very busy on Feb. 14 th and forgetting to congratulate all of our Chinese fellow PS-ers a(nd everyone who celebrates Chinese New Year) with this important holiday and to wish them good luck and good health.

I think we all shall like to hear how (if) you celebrate it and what you are wearing!

Sorry I posted it twice but my first one "disappeared" when I tried to edit it.

With the snow this heavy up here in Pennsylvania, I might just be staying in and making dumplings in my favorite red pajamas!

Excellent idea, crasu, and I love your ever-changing avatars

MTGrade, snowed in with carbs and comfy red PJs, what'' s not to like there?!?!

We will be dining at my all time favorite Chinese restaurant, Beijing House. Best duck in the city.

Thank you! We will be eating at our favourite Chinese restaurant, Hakkasan. Tradition dictates new clothing ...

MTG-snowed in w/P, comfy pjs, and homemade dumplings...wow! that sounds fantastic!!!

Xin nian kuai le! I have the day off, so I might hit up one of my favorite Asian places for some great food.

Wan shi ru yi!

It''s my year, Year of the Tiger.

"Kung Hei Fat Choi!" I can''t wait to watch some fireworks display & dragon dance in China Town here in my country.

*Cheers!*

Haha, I''m very much white, but married a Chinese guy. His mom doesn''t speak much English, so I''ve been trying to learn a few phrases at the least.

Which ones do you know?

Really basic stuff from the first few levels of Rosetta Stone. Stuff like hello/goodbye, nice to meet you, how to say you have or you want something, numbers, family relationships, etc. And a lot of random words...for example, I can''t imagine I''ll ever be called upon to translate "juice" or "Egypt" in Mandarin.

Rosetta Stone is random like that.

Does that mean you can read it too? Good for you! It''s a tough language.

Gong Xi Fatt Chai! Gong Xi Fatt Chai!
Ha I can still receive hongbaos!!
Not married yet!!!!!

maybe i should buy a red gemstone for good luck

Thanks! It''s so weird to have it land on Valentine''s Day. I plan on wearing my new green ring for luck!

I think the restaurants in Singapore will be hurting since the reunion dinner will be on the eve of Valentine''s and the first day of CNY is on the 14th. I don''t think there will be many who will be able to avoid dinner with the family on either day.

Not a problem for DH and I since we don''t celebrate and out of sheer perverseness prefer to go to a hawker centre on V-day.

Nope, I''m only learning spoken Mandarin (pinyin romanization).

Thanks chictomato!
