The gals who didn''t have any say in your e-ring selection process ... do you ever secretly (or not so secretly) wish your guy had chosen ...

I did have a say and what I woulda chosen now is not an option on your list (I don''t think?)...

but I would have gotten an ideal cut AND bigger....and just shopped smarter with the $$. Oh well 20/20!

I was looking for that choice too. I think DH did a great job. I guess I wouldn''t mind a bigger diamond. But for what he spent, he did great and the amount he spent was reasonable for his income.

My first marriage, he picked out--.50 round cut EM. I had wanted a teardrop EM.- Had kept a picture, out of a catalog, of the same in my room and dreamed of an EM that looked like the photo. I should have known that he was a controller!

-- My second and last marriage-- LOL!--- I picked out a .70 Emerald cut diamond in Platium , just a few weeks ago with some money that had my name on it. Been married now for 18 wonderful years !

OOpsies. I figured a good percentage of ladies are 100% satisfied and wouldn''t change a thing, therefore the question of "secretly wishing for something else" doesn''t apply ...this was more my idea of "for those that might want to change something ... WHAT would you change."

100% happy stories are 100% WELCOME!!!

I would have gotten a 3.5+ stone, same color & clarity at the time...

DH has said there will be an upgrade in 5 years. But who knows? When I wear it with my eternity, I think it's just right.

The shrinkage hit right after I got my e-ring because I was expecting a 3.5c rock instead of a 3. But now, I look at 3+c rocks and mine sparkles so much it actually looks the same size. Sometimes I can't even tell the difference. So I wonder, why upgrade? Just so I'll know?

I tried on a 4 carat last weekend and it looked too big. Quel horreur! (Or maybe it's because it looked slightly yellow and that turned me off -- I'm really sensitive to color.)

Hmmm...maybe I'll just get a RHR in a different shape. I love cushions -- those big pillowy facets. Yummy!
