Do you mean women who are older (could you define the age group, if that is what you are asking) OR women who have been with their SOs for a long period of time?
I am in my 20's
BF''s grandma calls the SOs ''beloveds''. "Is your beloved going to be there?" It''s so frickin cute.Date: 5/30/2008 2:56:59 PM

I am in my 20''s, and have been with BF for 6 years. Nope, he''s still BF as far as I am concerned...what else could I call him? My cohabitant? Roomie? Of course, Significant Other...I prefer BF.
Once my father introduced him to someone as my fiance...I almost choked. But in my culture, supposedly, if you''re living together, you''re ''enfianced.'' (Is that a word?) According to my mother anyway.
lol that is cute. Bf''s grandparents refer to me when talking to my bf as "your sweetie" or "your sweetheart" lol and apparently to others his FI lolDate: 5/30/2008 3:02:51 PM

My mother always calls his family, "your future in laws." I think its funny because she knows them by name but thats how she sees it. Sunnyd, are you engaged? I can''t remember. If so, did you call him your FF before you were? I feel weird calling him that, don''t know why.Date: 5/30/2008 3:01:13 PM

I''m not old, nor have FFand I been together all that long, but I''m a daughter-in-law and a sister-in-law to his family, and my mom always tells him not to speak to his mother-in-law that way when he teases her. I don''t refer to myself as that to them, but it''s just shorter to say that I''m with the inlaws rather than with the boyfriend''s family to friends.![]()
They all know we''re getting married anyway, so what''s the difference?![]()

it’s a little weird for me to call him my “boyfriend” LOL I feel like I’m in high school again.![]()
My BF and I have only been together a year and a half, and his family has already started talking about babies! Just the other week, his grandmother was encouraging me to eat watermelons, because the seeds supposedly help with fertility. I was like, hold on - there''s a few steps missing from this process that must occur first!Date: 5/30/2008 2:52:40 PM

That''s funny dreamgirl. My boyfriend''s family introduce me as their daughter in law all the time and I do the same. His mother has given up on the marriage and has gone straight to baby talk...that''s an awkward conversation to have. LOL![]()
I love that! Leave it to the older generation to think of something so sweet. Do you call your men by their name or by a pet name?Date: 5/30/2008 3:02:51 PM

I don''t know about all of you, but I just type ff sometimes because its shorter and easier than typing boyfriend. I never refer to him as ff by mouth. lolDate: 5/30/2008 3:05:10 PM

Nope, not yet. And LOL no I don''t call him that in real life, only on here. I can only imagine the 346345 shades of red he would turn if I introduced him to someone as ''hi, this is Chris, my future fiance..."Date: 5/30/2008 3:05:10 PM

I ALWAYS call my BF baby or something to that extent. I do it so much so that when I call him his actual name, it makes me uncomfortable! So weird!
He will continue to be referred to as a BF until I get that ring.![]()

hmm, maybe it''s not such a bad idea to call him my FF when introducing him... I think it would be cute if he would call me his ffanyway, I have to try this out - at least to see the shocked look in his eyes when I say it![]()

ETA: How could I forget baby?! Ha. I usually only call by his frist name when I''m mad too!!! Except we never are really ''mad'' at each other, so I always have to stop and think wait, what''s your name? Because I always want to say the ex''s name!!! (anger = ex, he does the same thing!)

Seriously!! We''re a year and a half into it. We get upset with each other all the time, but we''ve only ever yelled a couple of times. It''s nice. We both came out of really angry relationships prior, and he''s adamant about not fighting. So we don''t!Date: 5/30/2008 3:31:25 PM

Me and BF? ''Hardly'' isn''t exactly the word I would use. LOL...for the most part we don''t but we do get into some brawls from time to time. But I think he likes to set me off...actually I know he does.![]()
There are some funny responses on here! I guess what I meant by older are those that have been in relationships for a while.
LOL@ beloved. In Spanish its “marido” which means the one you have married…but not your husband. My mom asks why I’m so preoccupied with getting a ring and what not if he is already my “marido”
