I guess the real point of Mr New York''s post is that he wishes men had better diamond wearing opportunities? It is true that for humans, women are the usual peacocks fashion wise ... but I guess you could drop a fortune on a diamond pinky ring or similar?
Apart from that, I agree Mr. New York - there''s not many opportunities for men to flash the bling. Well, I guess it depends on what circles you move in. Could you carry a diamond teeth grill?

As I mentioned earlier, I was hoping to replace my man''s lost wedding ring with something really nice for his 40th birthday next year. But he told me that he was so upset with losing his first one, so quickly, that he doesn''t any more jewellery ever.
So... perhaps I SHOULD think about widescreen tvs!

When I was engaged I expected and planned for big bling...dont care for temporary things like big screens or tech toys...give me a diamond or Ruby or sapphire...something i can enjoy for life that wont wear out...who says that men cant have the same as women...men wearing jewelry from a loved one... should not be to shocking or unmasculine for a guy to recieve a piece of jewelry as an engagement gift.

I guess the big determinant in daily life though is that (depending on the couple) often the woman ''falls in'' with the man and does what she can to help HIM earn money in HIS career.
I might be unlucky, but personally I have never met a man that dropped everything and went all out to help me achieve what I wanted to in my (public) life... which is why my man will be getting me (''gifting'' me) the ring of my dreams... sooner or later!!
