What are your thoughts on the matching wedding band being thinner than the engagement ring? I ask this question because my fiancé thinks my ring is a bit MUCH and thinks that I should get a very thin matching wedding band if any at all. So I wanted to get some feedback from the ladies who already have matching flush wedding sets.

Is there a big visual difference between the two?
Does the engagement ring POP more because the wedding band is thinner?
Does it look odd or feel odd being thinner?

Thanks

For me we got a thinner wedding band because the e-ring ended up being larger than I thought width wise. I had wanted it no more than 2.5mm and it ended up being about 2.9mm I think. It may not sound like much but it is a visual difference. So we decided to get the w-ring to be thinner and also because it would make it not look SO much like an ''identical'' ring. I also had WF shave down the e-ring a tiny bit so it''s probably more like 2.7mm now. My w-ring is 2.3mm and there is a visual difference between the two but I like it. They are matched so perfectly that it is obvious that we did it this way on purpose (aka it wasn''t a mistake) and it keeps the mm total on my finger down a bit. If I had 2 3mm rings it would have been a bit much IMO!

Mine doesn''t feel different at all since they are the same exact setting, just different widths. Though I would say if your e-ring was thinner, aka 2.5mm then getting a matching 2.5mm band for a w-ring would be fine for me...we just did this because the e-ring ended up being more width and then it gave us the idea to get a slightly thinner band to differentiate that there were TWO rings for a visual.

Hope this helps!

Mara thanks for the feed back!!!
I just don''t want to have any regrets when I get my wedding band made. I guess that''s the price you pay when you go custom.

Thanks again.
