Ohh, I posted wrong yesterday. I was taking into account the entire price of my E-ring, and not separating the two costs. In actuality, my setting was a little under 50% of the price of my daimond.
I've thought about it, and if I ever re-set my daimond, I would put a blue saphire in my setting and wear it as a RHR. I think it would be

I have pretty calssic taste, and pieces that I like, I see myself wearing for the rest of my life. I would have no problem spending 100% or more on a setting that I fell in love with. Heck, if the initial gem isn't exactly what I wanted, it can always be re-set with a better gem later.
