For all the ex-Bridesmaids out there...

There's a service called Newlymaid that will take your old bridesmaid dresses (any manufacturer) and either recycle them or donate them to a charitable organization. In exchange, they give you a discount on one of several LBDs (they currently have 11 choices). A few of the styles look pretty cute to me, but I just donated 3 out of 4 of my old bridesmaid dresses to Goodwill about a month ago, and the other one I'm keeping around for now since it's rewearable for the right occasion.

If anyone tries it out, be sure to let us know how it goes...but I thought I'd get the word out!

I think it's a really cool idea, but the discounted dresses are still more than I'd pay for a little black dress. Drop the prices under $50 and then we'll talk!
