I completely agree - totally a personal preference. But perhaps also depends on the setting? ie. singles for repro or antiquey stylle settings, full cuts for sleek or chunky modern deisgns. (inho).Date: 5/12/2008 9:43:09 AM

For a modern RB, it now becomes a personal preferance. You can't go wrong either way with full cut or single cut melees. Just enjoy what you have.![]()

Hi Arjun,
I do not know yet. I think I will talk to WF soon. What I am leaning toward is a solitaire type setting, but perhaps with a diamond halo somewhat like the Tacori, but not that same crown setting. I am wanting prongs. I currently have four prongs, which I preferred 12 years ago. Now I am wondering if I want six or eight. The thing I really dislike about my setting is the prongs. They are severe. They do not look artful at all. I LOVE the WF prongs and MM prongs. But one thing I was considering was getting a halo to make the stone appear a bit larger. This can be tricky b/c sometimes halos just distract from the center stone and become counterproductive. Confused...![]()

I still have these stones in my pocket and in most lighting there is nothing much in it.
Until we do the tests with equivalent diamond cut quality it would be unfair to say this or that is better.
But certainly diamonds selected with an ideal-scope stand out
Oh I''m sorry to mislead you isabelle, I meant in photos i have seen of real life rings here on PS - lol.reading back i can see how thats misleading.Date: 5/12/2008 11:03:30 PM

Thanks ARjun. You know what I am going through then. Since you have seen the WF halo IRL, could you also give your opinion to me on some WF rings I have narrowed down my search to? I went into great detail on this on the new topic ''Mrs. Salvo and Sevens One...your opinions please''. I directed to them b/c they seem to know a lot about WF. Of course, a lot of people on here do as well! I would really love to get your opinion as well Arjun, along with anyone else who might have some input.![]()
