I have a radiant cut with a pave setting and I am now trying to figure out the wedding band. What the jeweler thought he could do originally, he can''t. He thought he could raise up the basket of the e-ring to allow the wedding band to slip under. Now it seems I would have to significantly redesign the e-ring to do that, and I just don''t want to.

My options are to just get a band to wear next to it, or to get a band that does not have diamonds on the top and the band will slip under the basket of my e-ring. I am new to this site and was not previously a ring buff, so please forgive me that I don''t know the terminology you all use. :)

Pros/Cons:
- I thought for sure I wanted a flush set, but I do like the look of the delicate band on the e-ring. With the band flush next to it, it takes away from that a little?
- The con to the second option is I could never wear the band by itself.
- The con to the first option is I am not sure it really looks like a set. Do they even look good together??

I know that it is my ring and my preference, but I stumbled upon this site and would be curious if anyone has a ring similar to mine and has an opinion.

Thanks!

Your photos are a little hard to see, but personally I don''t mind the space. Especially if you want to maybe wear the band alone.

I went through this dilemma...

I am currently having my ering custom made and I wasn''t sure if I should get surprise stones because the wedding band wouldn''t sit flush.

In the end - I went with the surprise stones and a little gap. I think it gives your ering more space to breath and both rings are then on display - rather than looking like one big chunky band.

Go the gap! I think it looks more dainty!

I cannot really see the details of the bands you posted, but I think that this is all a matter of personal preference. I don''t mind a gap as long as it is not a ginormous gap. I would not want to get a band that could not be worn alone from time to time, though.

Thanks so much! Decisions, decisions... My amazing fiance made me a beautiful ring and I just don''t want to do much to it to accomodate a band. I like what you said about the two pieces being nice on their own. Thanks again.

I know my pics are bad...sorry. I had to condense them so much to accomodate the size requirements of the board. Thanks for your input though.
