Yes they can. Natural black diamonds can display fluorescence under both long and short wave UV. I''m not positive how much irradiated black diamonds fluoresce, but it seems that if the material did before they were treated, then they still would. Hope that helps.
Thank you. That does help. I did a search but of course the minute you search for fluorescence, black and diamond you keep getting results for "black light"!
This is an irradiated (I think) black diamond. However, under UV it looks like a fluorescent alien! I''ve never seen anything like it!
