Ladies, I'm trying and failing to think of flowers for the tables. I like hydrangeas and peonies.

I would love some inspiration and all colours are welcome. Post all your flower **** here :cheeky:

Thank you all! :))

Rosetta, im not a BIW, but could you please let us know what your venue is like, and what the overall theme of the wedding. I think it would help when it comes to finding flowers

Is your wedding day or night?'
Indoors or outdoors?
If indoors, high ceiling or low?
What time of year is the wedding?
Do you have a color for the BM's dresses picked out?

Those are all the things I had to figure out before my florist could help me with flowers. If you could tell me some more I could find some cool pics.

Thanks for your help ladies!

The room is a conservatory, white walls. It's in July so we will have light until 9:30 pm and the indoor light is golden yellow. I have attached a piccie (though this was taken in winter). Ignore the tables, they will have white chairs and tablecloths. The chandeliers are huge and there are 9 of them, all with dim-able lights.

The rest of the place is a palladian mansion, and the flowers for those rooms will be cream, as the rooms have loads of colour in them.

Don't worry about the bridesmaids, they have their own flowers and colours.

I'm leaning towards cream and pink, but a dusty vintage pink rather than baby pink.

Thanks again!

amazing room. I would do something that would keep the architecture as the focal point. Not exactly sure the best way to do that. But I would do mostly cream with touches of the pink you like. I think the cream will complement the room without competing.

Here are some ideas with what you want

You could remove the blue in this one

I really think this color group complements the room nicely

This one has a vintage feel to me. Love the idea of silver vases.

Here are some flower montages (AKA flower ****) from our wedding last year. I did peach and rusty pink colors. The wedding was in July. I wasn't crazy about the orange gerber daisies the florist added to some arrangements, but still loved my flowers overall. Talk to your florist about your overall feel, and I bet she'll have some great ideas for you.

eta - I'm so sorry that the first pic is huge.

Guiltypleasure your wedding looks so lovely, as do you!

What is the name of the slightly pinky orange flower in your bouquet?

Rosetta, I love your venue. I love how the room is so large, and airy. Its like being outside, but without the heat or moisture. I think a tall arrangement would work nicely, because it would draw the attention to the skylight, but nothing too tall. Here are some pictures of things i found, maybe just change them to your color scheme, and you can always add a light or two

Rosetta, thank you! That peachy pink flower is stock. My bouquet had a lot of different flowers - roses, peonies, stock, mums, etc. My bridesmaids' bouquets were several stock stems tied with satin ribbon. Here are some more shots of different flowers. Sorry for some repeat, but I'm using some montages that I already had loaded. Like you, I love hydrangeas and peonies

I also love hydrangeas and peonies. I am likely not going to have peonies in my centerpieces as they are pricey. But, instead will have roses and/or raunuculus. Here are some of the inspiration photos I sent my photographer. The tall centerpiece does have peonies in it, but you could replace any of the non-Peony flowers in these with peonies.

Some if not all of these were found on Cynthia Martyn Events' blog. http://blog.cynthiamartyn.com/

I love ranunculas too and had them in my bouquet:) I think they are a nice option for that full, romantic flower without being peonies.

Peonies are indeed expensive! My fairly simple flowers quote has cone in at over $5000 excluding lighting and bouquets :errrr:

Thanks for the ranunculus tip!

Actually any other tips on how to create a lush look with less expensive flowers would be great. :))

Rosetta,

My florist suggested this website which seems to have a catalog of all flowers with pictures. You can search by name if you have heard of something and you want to see what it looks like. Or, you can also look by Category - Peonies are under Flowers & Filler.

I think hydragenas are relatively inexpensive. My centerpieces are also going to have green button mums and hypernicum berries.

Thanks so much klaw! :))

In my wedding we did check so many florists. But the best wedding bouquet idea I got from Laced in Love Weddings blog. The blog is full of wedding inspiration. they have a wedding vendor directory as well. :P2:halo: My wedding bouquet:
