Has anyone given their man flowers or a plant? Any men recieved flowers or plants?

I kind of enjoy the idea of having something delivered to FI''s job for his b-day, but I don''t know if guys really take well to flowers or plants...

FI is sentimental, so he might like it, but I don''t know how he will feel about the attention at work. I could always get one and give it to him at home...

I attached a pic of what I was thinking...

I think it depends on the guy and where he works. Maybe okay for a guy who works in a school or an office setting, but a mechanic or fireman might take quite the ribbing from the other guys? My dh would prefer a bouquet of screwdrivers.

In my experience, most men do appreciate receiving flowers at work, but it''s best to choose a more "masculine" design (simple arrangements, strong rather than frilly lines, stronger colors).

IMHO guys aren''t as big on heart designs as women tend to be...

I think he would appreciate receiving something at work, but a potted plant like a fern, or a lucky bamboo, like the one you posted, but of the spiral variety as opposed to a heart shape, might be more appropriate.

My husband has no problems receiving flowers from me. Now granted we both work from home most of the time but we both have separate offices and he will almost always have clients (and his friends) He''s exceptionally proud to point out "look what my baby got me?" lol (that of course is to his friends only)

Most guys really do like flowers. As long as its not something fufu and pink, they''re good. (think primary colors)

FI gives me flowers, and then he takes care of them since they seem to die as soon as I so much as water them. Black thumb!

What about a baby bonzi or a bamboo plant without the heart design.

I''m not a fan of sending flowers to men. I just don''t think they would enjoy that. I would think bringing them a plant for their desk during a lunch break might be ok.

I wouldn''t send flowers or plants to any man before his funeral. I''m not a fan of hearts so I definitely wouldn''t consider a heart-shaped plant to be appropriate for a man. The only thing I could MAYBE be okay with is the banzai tree thing. It may be fun to have on a desk at work and be able to work the branches for some zen time.

Love the bouquet of screwdrivers!!

What about a delivery gift of snacks?? You could send anything from a deli tray to a fruit bouquet to a pretzel assortment.

I think a simpler bamboo would be a great idea.

Or you could do a cookie bouquet if you have a place that does that in your area, like a Cookies by Design.
