A jeweler will set this stone with side stones for around $24/$25K
An oval, GIA, D SI1, 2.53 carats, depth around 58%, but strong blue flourescence. Sorry I do not have the pavilion, etc measurements...those are not on the GIA cert, where does one find them?
Is this a good price?

Hi Scorpio!

Don't worry too much about the crown angles etc with an oval, fancy shapes need to be seen to be evaluated, if you like this one, then that is a good start. It appears to be a shallow diamond, but the main thing is if you love it. Do you have the diameter measurements? Also check carefully for the bow tie effect, you can't always avoid this altogether, but check the stone out to make sure the BT isn't too obtrusive. Also make sure the SB fluorescence doesn't have a negative effect on the diamond in some lights, this is rare but prudent to check. Jewellery stores can be more expensive than online vendors, but you can do a pricecheck using the search tool above to get an idea of pricing.

Ok table was 52%, depth 57.4. 10.79x7.99x4.59 . So it''s a ''fatter'' oval, which I prefer. I did see the stone and bowtie was very minimal. Unfortunately it was already set in a micropave ring which threw me off...I would like to see the stone loose before buying. It''s well priced in the low 20s, I am not sure if I should be getting more of a discount for flouresence. I guess I have to go back and take it outside again.
I like the color- D- ovals show A LOT of yellow- even in H colors.
