Can you post table and depth please.

hi tyty

Tx for ur help. I know these might not the best diamonds available as my budget won't all the best in the world. I just want to make sure that they will be nice.

Option 1 Table 60 Depth 60

Option 2 Table 59 Depth 60.9

Tx again

I assume that you are shopping online and have not seen these stones in person? Have you asked about the eye cleanliness of the diamond, and how whomever is evaluating the stone determines eye clean? The pavilion angles on both are a bit steeper than one that we may typically recommend which is usually between 40.6-41, and HCA will probably knock it because of it, so I'm thinking that these are two stones that you are going to need to investigate further. Can you get magnified images, Ideal scope or ASET?

I just saw that you posted the depth and table. These are both considered 60/60 diamonds and will have a slightly different visual affect than your typical HA type stone. Can you view these?

My concern about these stones is not the numbers but the comments regarding additional clouds not shown and the eye cleanliness of them. Is there a vendor that can see these stones or are they from a drop shipper?

Make sure that no matter who you purchase the stone from you have a return policy IN WRITING in case it is not up to your expectations.

The numbers on the stones will work and I'm assuming you have familiarized yourself with a 60/60 type of cut. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 60/60 stone but it does have a bit of a different look from an ideal cut stone with table size of 54-57.

Would you like us to make some recommendations for you? If you want to share your budget I'll be happy to take a look for you.

Honestly, I just don't love either of those. I try to go for these measurements because it usually will result in a stone that meets GIA Excellent and AGS Ideal cut standards:

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

We'd really need idealscope images to give you a good answer on the stones you have posted.

Also, you may want to use the HCA to enter measurements:

Scores under 2 are best, some between 2 and 3 are acceptable, and 3 and up I would pass on.

yep, I completely agree with both the above posts. But we can help you find a great stone in your budget. =)

Tx

Budget is only $6000. Both stones are from a jeweler in Dubai where friends of mine have purchased e/g ring before and have spoken highly of.

I am from Ireland but work in the UK. I am travelling to Dubai in a few months with work and was going to pick it up there. If I buy them online from the states, I will have to pay duty at the increased rate of 23%, (which is a killer!).

The above rings that I sent to you I am getting for 6k incl platinum band.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Well, this does complicate things, but I would also not feel comfortable buying a diamond now and having them hold it for you for months until you travel there. Too many possibilities for things to go wrong. I'd recommend waiting a couple of weeks before you travel to select and pay for a diamond if that is where you want to buy it.
