When I flew from DC to Australia back in 2000, it was cheaper for me to buy the ticket to Aus coming out of LAX, and then book a cheap domestic flight from DC to LA (I think on Southwest). So that might be an option for you?Date: 5/17/2008 2:11:02 PM

Hello! Thanks you two! I guess we're too far out right now. It'd be for June of 09, but in a few months we should be able to book. We're probably going to be going from Dulles (IAD) to Hawaii I figured probably Honolulu (HNL). And man it's expensive!I did some price-checking today and it was cheaper to fly to France in some cases.
I really like the least stops, I HATE stops. I wish there were non-stops.![]()

ETA: Sorry, I think I may have worded that confusingly. It was cheaper for me to get a round-trip ticket from DC to LA and then a round-trip ticket from LA to Australia, instead of buying one ticket just from DC to Australia. Does that make sense? For the longer flights, I don''t think they do non-stop anyway (fuel and all that), so coming from DC, you''d probably have to stop off in LA anyway... If it''s cheaper to break it up into two tickets, I say do that.![]()
