Just an update and a master birthday suprise....So FI''s birthday is this Thursday. I have big plans for him on Friday (We are very busy on Thursday) So I have brainstormed with his best friend to throw him a suprise party Friday night with about 15 of our friends.
I am taking him out for dessert on Friday around 6 (he said he didnt want to eat dinner out). I told him whatever...it saves me money!
So we are doing that and then his best friend B and I came up with a master plan...B is going to call him and tell him that he bought him this really expensive case of beer (they drink very very dark beer...for the taste...not to get drunk) Which he actually bought some..i think DogfishHead. And he is going to tell FI that he isnt home but that it is at his house in his beer fridge so to go ahead in and grab it. Well everyone will be hiding in the kitchen (they are going to park at our other friends house within walking distance so there are no cars in the driveway) and when we come in to his house to get the beer, he is going to switch on the lights and everyone will come out of the kitchen! SUPRISE!
I am buying him a really nice TomTom GPS system for his car that he has wanted for a long time (well i have wanted it to. lol so we can use it in either car
). I also ordered the biggest icecream cake possible from Coldstone Creamery. I think it serves 50 people!
He loves the Cake Batter Confetti flavor.
So the other thing is that he hates his birthday and suprises. He said he doesnt know why but he has had some bad experiences from when he was little and birthday parties for him. I am hoping though that he will be happy that i planned all of this for him. He always ends up not being mad about me suprising him..he just rolls his eyes and said that I shouldnt have.
I do have to say that it has been so hard to keep this plan from him! One day last week he told me i was being suspicious and i really wasnt.lol. Then he said that i better not be planning anything with his best friend. I was like why do you think all of a sudden i am planning something? We always just go out to eat and i make you a themed cake and then get you a gift right? He was like yeah but something is up.
I ignored him and acted cool....he was then like a bit later.......B spilled and told me everything. (So i though to myself...if this isnt true I am going to be in trouble..B wouldnt spill either) So i played it cool and in the end B really didnt tell my FI.
So i reassured him it was all ok...and told him good thing that i didnt plan anything with B or I wouldve told him it all cuz I thought B spilled! (that was a lie but sometimes a girl has to do what she has to!)
So hopefully I can keep my mouth shut and actually pull this whole suprise off!
I will keep you guys updated! Any other advice or ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks!
