First Time Homeowner! Need advice!

Did you hire someone to look it over? If not you NEED to. Huge expenses you don''t think of may be lurking like the roof, the water heater, the foundation, etc.
It sounds like an old house, which I love, but two pieces of advice. Just paint over things you don''t like, don''t strip the old paint as it may have lead, which is expensive to remove.
Same with taking down walls, don''t do it unless you have gotten them tested for asbestos because getting rid of esbestos is REALLY expensive.

Right now we are in a bidding war. But if they accept we will have 15 days to get our inspection and if there is anything wrong we will have to negotiate price. But thats all if they accept are offer!

The has been multiple offers so we really don''t know what to do now.

Aww, I''m sorry that you''re in a multiple bid situation. We were there too once, and it was horrible. We didn''t know it at the time, but a better house popped up a month (almost to the day!) later.

Actually we got it

Thanks for your concern! I have been so busy lately with inspections & mortgage papers! Actually we had the home inspection today and everything went ok their are so minor repairs that need to be made but nothing costly which he said the house was in wonderful condition due to its age. It basically needs some updating. The water test is coming back tomorrow so I am hoping that is going to turn out alright.


Now all I have to do is pick out all the paint colors
