First time diamond buyer

Hey all, just purchased my first diamond for an engagement ring. I was wondering if someone could tell me if the diamond looks good according to the paper work and if they could run Diamcalc on it. I have researched and researched before I bought it and hope I did an alright job. Thanks everyone.

Congratulations!

I''m not an expert (they''ll chime in soon I''m sure), but your stone looks a little deep (62.1), meaning it might face up a bit smaller than other stones of its weight... Other than that, looks good!

But, it gets a 1.4 on the HCA... so looks snazzy...

Out of curiosity, where did you purchase the stone? Are you going to stick with them for the setting? Any ideas about that yet?? We''re here to help if you want or need it : )

Chev, looks good. While it may be a tad deeper than some would buy, it''s not horrible. And actually, it''s not even showing up smaller. A .75 diameter should be 5.8, so yours is facing up great! I also have a 34/41, they can be very beautiful stones.

Did you buy online or from a retailer?

Thank you all for the great information. I did quite abit of reasearch and ended up buying the diamond online. I felt I could get a better stone for my budget than at a local store so I decided to take a chance. I went with a 6prong platinum setting.
