Hello everyone! I''m a first time diamond buyer and like most first timers I have spent many hours researching and trying to educate myself about the countless aspects of buying a diamond. Pricescope has been a major help throughout the whole process, I would have been lost without you guys!

Ok, down to business;

I am looking to spend approximately $4,500 on a .8ct+ high quality diamond. I initially was looking for a 1ct+ but decided I would rather sacrifice size over quality.

I have narrowed the rather large field down to 2 possible selections and would love to hear your opinion on both.

The first diamond is:

. Report: AGS
. Shape: Whiteflash ACA
. Carat: 0.846
. Depth %: 61.6
. Table %: 55.1
. Crown Angle: 34.3
. Crown %: 15.3
. Star : 53
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.8
. Lower Girdle %: 76
. Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick Faceted
. Measurements: 6.05-6.09X3.75
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible *AGS Report
*Sarin report
*Ideal Scope
*ASET
*Hearts

The Second Diamond is:

. Report: AGS
. Shape: Round Ideal Cut
. Carat: 0.840
. Depth %: 61.2
. Table %: 55.5
. Crown Angle: 34.5
. Crown %: 15.3
. Star : 55
. Pavilion Angle: 40.6
. Pavilion %: 42.7
. Lower Girdle %: 75
. Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick Faceted
. Measurements: 6.07-6.10X3.72
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible *AGS Report

*Ideal Scope
*ASET

Cut quality is the highest priority for me and I was wondering which is more desirable, a Round Ideal Cut or a Whiteflash ACA. How do they differ?

I''m not quite sure how to read the Ideal Scope, ASET and Hearts pictures. If you notice anything out of the ordinary in them please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing your opinions on both stone=o)

Both look good to me.

Depends on if you want a H&A stone or not I guess.

either one is beautiful, really. you might ask them about the pricescope discount, you get a better discount with ACA line than the regular, not sure if that matters, but check into it.

Both look great, if you prefer the pedigree of the ACA then thats the one to go for, if not then the other non h&a could be a super choice.

Good point. The ACA gets 5% off as opposed to 2% on the ES. So I vote the ACA, as it will cost less.
