First snow

We have our first snow day today and I just went out onto our little patio to take pictures. There''s only three but I thought I''d share.

Oooh, I just glanced outside and it''s begun snowing again. It happens every year but for some reason, the first snow always makes me feel somewhat giddy.

Oh Zoe, it is beautiful. How lucky you are to have those beautiful trees, in your backyard. We just have houses to look at in our yard. LOL LOL.

3. Last one. I kind of wish there was more snow, and that would help justify the snow day we have, but I heard it''s kind of icy out there.

Thanks Linda! I''ll try to take pictures when we have a much bigger snow storm (this one seems tiny). We live in a condo complex, so depending on what side you live on, you either have a view of the parking lot or a view of the grounds on the perimeter of the property. The pictures I posted are from our patio, which faces my building''s side yard. It''s very quiet here and it''s not a huge complex, which I love. Sadly, I think this might be the biggest yard we''ll ever actually have, given the housing prices. If we were to buy a "real" house, our yard would be the size of a postage stamp...or smaller. So I''ll take what I can get for now.

Nice pics Zoe! Wish I could feel enthusiastic about the white stuff today--spent a good 1/2 hour this morning shoveling just so i could get to my car--ick
I mostly dread the stuff b/c we get soooo much of it --but pretty pics like yours make me appreciate it a bit more

Yay! Snow pics! I''m hoping this is a white Christmas, as it will be the first one that DH spends in New England, and I want him to get the full experience

Those pictures are so lovely - I adore snow, but living in damp UK we hardly ever get any these days. I loved living in Michigan over Winter because we had a White Christmas. Where are you based in the US?

Thanks ladies! I love the snow, however I don''t like the really cold weather or ice that comes with it. It is pretty to look at. Selkie, I hope there''s a white Christmas for your husband. Samantha, we live in New England. Winter in New England is alwyas what it used to be. Some years we''ve barely had snow and it''s been pretty mild. Other years we''ve had ice storms and several snowstorms. It varies much more than I remember when I was younger.
