and I managed to pull 4 high distinctions! I am so elated, and relieved. My final scores were 98, 92, 91, and 84. The Australian tertiary system requires an 80% for their highest grade (HD), which allegedly puts you in the top 5-10% (and sets you up for the honors program with no worries). But for me, it means that my lifetime perfect GPA is still intact! I know it sounds silly, but I've worked really hard for that and thought after 8 years out of school and working challenging hours at a "grown up" job, I'd lose it for sure this semester. I am so pleased, and couldn't help but share with all of you who were so incredibly supportive when I started making arrangements to start this new program.

Now it's 4:30 am, the dogs are sleeping, the cats are sleeping, DH is sleeping, hell - the betta next to my bed is probably sleeping too. And I'm in bed, wide awake, like this:

Congratulations, jg!!! :appl: :appl: :appl: Well done!

Hip Hip Hooray!! Great job justginger!! You've earned those marks! Congrats!! :appl: :appl:

Amazing!!! Congrats! It feels so incredible when hard work pays off.

Is it time to get that another .6 I ACA yet? :)

:appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

I'm  for you!!!

:appl: :appl: :appl: Yay!

That's fantastic Ginger!!!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:
And I never had any doubt you would do well at whatever you do. Just from getting to "know" you on PS I can tell you give your all to everything you do...a very good way to be. :))

Way to go!!! :wavey:

That's awesome, it sounds like you are going full time in addition to working full time. Hats off to you!
I go part time for my masters, and at this rate it will take me til mid/end 2015..I couldn't imagine working and going full time (although I wish I could, bc it would get done faster!) Kudos!

Well done JG, I love hearing about people doing well with studies.

8 years out of school and working challenging hours at a "grown up" job, I'd lose it for sure this semester.

Actually these factors probably helped achieve those great results.

Congrats Ginger! I'm also another closet OCD must-get-all-As person, but I would never be able to succeed on top a full work load! You're my hero!!!!! Congratulations! Wish you were local, so we can have study dates ::)

Congrats on such amazing marks, JG!! You are a rock star back at university!! You have a lot to be proud of --- hope when the others wake up, you fall asleep with a lovely huge SMILE on your face!! Bask in the glory of all your hard work!!

Thank you everyone! It's so lovely to have people to share happiness with, no matter the time of day. :))

I cannot take credit for full time work though, my hours are somewhere between half and full time, depending on the exact week. I'm working odd hours though, so they can accommodate my uni schedule. I have seen more sunrises and sunsets from the lab window than I care to think about, lol.

I was awake until DH's alarm went off at 6. Then I got to tell him the news, and promptly fell back asleep before he even left for work.

Way to go, JG!!!!! That is a awesome accomplishment! Congratulations! Woohoo!

Congratulations on your great scores! Best of luck to you!

That's GREAT justginger! Congrats on seeing your hard work be recognized!

I knew you'd do well - congrats to you! I certainly understand your excitement!

Absolutely fantastic!!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Those are outstanding marks. And to get them while working, while maintaining a house, a marriage, etc....well, I take my hat off to you, I really do.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Again, thanks everyone for your support and kind words. I'm relaxing over my mid-semester break at the moment, with next term starting on the 5th of August. I've just discovered the Khan Academy and am attempting to teach myself physics during the break. I have a natural aversion to all forms of mathematics, stemming from a terrible 'gifted' algebra class I had in middle school. Khan is amazing though, really an invaluable educational resource. If I can be taught physics, anyone can be taught anything!
