Hello Pricescopers, this is my first post from Ireland, Im searching a stone for this setting (attached)in rose gold with platinum basket.
I can afford around $5k and I wanted around 0.9 in size, no more that 1 carot.
I found this what I think is a lovely M Colour;

Can someone give me their view on this stone? - is it OK?, will the M colour look OK in this platinum basket with rose gold shank?
I thought it would add to the vintage look. Sorry but Ive only been learning for about 3 weeks...

Many Thanks in advance for your advice!

Sorry I forgot to add Ive fallen in love with the GOG A Vintage Cushions, Id have no chance of finding such a stone with fire etc on the net in UK without pictures and ASET..

Will it look okay? Well, that depends on you.

It's all personal preference. Have you seen M stones in real life? We can't tell you that you will be okay with an M. No one can tell you what you will think of an M. We can only tell you what we think of an M. And that's kinda irrelevant. Sorry, wish I had a different answer for you.

Like you, I have been strongly considering a low/warm AVC or AVR. Have you searched on PS to see all the gorgeous stones other PSers have? Visit this thread for inspiration: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-your-m-n-o-colored-diamonds.154012/

There is a thread under show me the bling that just showcases cushions: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/cushion-cuts-a-collection.135031/

So many of the PSers have low colored stones and say that they love them. I am dying to see one in person!

As far as the rose gold goes, I think it would look gorgeous. They are two phenominal rings on here which are M-N-O OEC's in rose gold.
Search for Haven's ring and Ganesha's ring.
I have been visiting that M stone on GOG's site and think it's amazing. Love how square it is! I say go for it.

Personally, I think that it would look beautiful, but I also like ketchup on my grilled cheese sandwhiches and I can't tell you how many people are repulsed by that! So, like Gypsy said it's what YOU think is beautiful that really matters. ;)

Until about 5 days ago I described myself as not being color sensitive, but I recently received a J colored RB and I'm shocked at how noticeable the color is to me and how different it is compared to and H and I that I have. I'm still on the fence about how I feel about it. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that, as much as you think you can anticipate how something will look and how you will feel about it, its really impossible to you've actually had an opportunity to see it and evaluate it for yourself.

Looking forward to hearing what you decide. =)

Thanks for all your views, thing is I live in Ireland so can never see it in person before buying, maybe Ill ask them to send me a photo, I have seen some other warm stones on this site and its really making me think Ill take the chance on the colour - apart from that colour though, what do you think of the aset pics and microscopic pic's? - will this be a nice stone? Thanks again for all your views Ive become addicted to this amazing forum!

It's an 'Ideal' on everything, and I like the rounded square-ish shape of it. I don't think you can go wrong with an AVC! :cheeky:

Here's my recent thread where I asked to see lower color stones, and got my wish! https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/paging-haven-and-any-other-m-and-lower-color-omc-oec-owners.174639/

There are slight variations in AVC cuts but each is more or less guaranteed to be a beaut! One issue to think about is light quality in Ireland. Overcast skies and a low sun bring out the tint in every stone below F (probably why our jewellers traditionally liked to stick to high color and OK cut). These conditions make even excellent cut stones look dead, but high color is always evident. Then again, an antique style cut can get away with most tints, and the AVC does disperse it beautifully. Could you track down a deeper tinted stone at an antique jewellers and try it out? If that's not a go, I'd try for L in rose gold to give yourself the best chance of keeping it.
