Hi all, I have been lurking here for the better part of three months, and I cannot begin to thank you guys for all the knowledge I have gained here. The HCA, AGA cut grader, and the tons of posts I have read through have helped me immensely.

It was also thanks to this forum that I found james allen, and just put in an order for a stone.

I guess I just have some jitters or cold feet, but if you guys/gals are bored, can you take a look?

I was assured by the very nice folks at James Allen that the stone is great, but a little peace of mind from the PS gang or cause for concern would be appreciated.

2.08
F, VVS1, triple zero. cut parameters are in the AGS report.

The price: w/PS discount. 52k... a comparable GIA cert stone on BN was priced 15k higher.... I had read that GIA/AGS quality wise is similar, but does it affect the value that greatly?

The HCA read this stone out to 1.7 if I remember correctly, and the AGA cut grader yielded a 1B designation, mainly because of the 36% table angle.

JA has a different sale's strategy and their diamond price is usually lower than other stores. I've had the same question when I bought mine few months ago from them and post the same type of posts here, but it's just a beautiful stone for a beautiful price~

Are you looking specifically for high clarity and high crown / low pavilion angle combos? GIA/AGS graded stones can be eye clean even at SI clarity. The branded / more popular cuts tend to center around 34.5 crown / 40.8 pavilion angle combos. Consider these:

Sounds like a fantastic stone. Do you have a setting?
