I purchased a Chrysoberyl today on a whim and it's my first gem. So excited! Can anyone suggest some setting ideas? I'm thinking halo! I've added pics in two different lights, indoor and outdoor.
Isn't it exciting? Your first colored stone and it's beautiful! Be very careful, you might get addicted. As they say in CSA (Colored Stones Anonymous) "One day-oops-stone at a time"...
Sorry I can't help with setting ideas because I'm terrible at it. Just wanted to pop in and say congratulations. Fabulous chryso!!!
Gorgeous stone. Congrats!!
Do you have any basic setting ideas or inspiration pics to share?
Your stone will look lovely in a halo but also in a setting where the stone is the main star
You did well with your first purchase. Chrysoberyl is both durable and beautiful. I think a halo with a split shank like the one shown by @mellowyellowgirl would be a wonderful choice. It really does her Chrysoberyl justice.
Your stone is beautiful.
I took those photos at the jeweler, so not all of the rings are mine, also they are not chrysoberyl, but maybe you can use them for inspiration, since the shape is oval:
Your jewelry collection is like a collection of inspiring ideas! I’m going to get soon an oval cut blue zircon, as you know, so I should also look for setting ideas! Your post just came at the right time!
