Okay, let me preface by saying we made an impromptu trip to David''s yesterday to look at BM dresses, and I couldn''t help but try a few on. These are my top two, for the moment. The one with the sweetheart neckline is too small in the bust, and keep that in mind because the girls look a little smooshed. The second is too big, but, you get the idea...

So, I''d like your opinions. Which one do you like better?

Here is the first. I love the detailing on it.

And the second - I like the simplicity - no beading, which is way different than what I thought I would want

OOO! I love dress picture posts!

So far I''m loving both of them on you! But I have to say - that halter neckline in the second picture looks phenomenal on you!

Keep ''em coming!

Oops - just saw that there are two dresses - looks like there will be no more pics

But seriously, I love the halter on you - really narrows your shoulders and just really looks lovely on you...

The first one is very elegant - love them both!!

I like them both. The second one is very elegant in its simplicity, I like it.

I just want to say PLEASE try dresses on somewhere other than David''s Bridal prior to making a decision. I found that the DB dresses fit very differently than the dresses at other salons, so I was grateful to have the opportunity to try others on.

Oh, I didn''t even want to look there because in looking at the catalog, I wasn''t impressed - so I was surprised I liked what I found there. This won''t be the end of shopping and looking, I promise.

I love how number 2 looks on you.

The 2nd dress looks nice on you. I''m not a fan of the neckline on the 1st dress, it''s not terribly flattering.

When is your next shopping trip?

Thanks for all your replies. I guess #1 was just so pretty in person, the pics don''t do it justice.

Not sure when the next trip is - this was impromptu because I had just dropped FI off at the airport, and was kind of poopy because he''ll be gone all week, so my mom and sister met me to cheer me up.

Next time to Davids will be the 31st of this month to get all my BM''s together and pick their dresses.

I like the cut of the first one better. But honestly? Both look a little... cheaply made. I agree with Haven that you should keep looking!

But even I went to David''s, just to try stuff on. Didn''t like any of it, but you never know! A good friend found the perfect dress there. It was like it was made for her. So, you never know.

I was thinking the same thing. That''s why I wasn''t impressed with the catalog, and didn''t really want to try on, but, at least now I know! I''ve got plenty of time to keep looking... Well, for now.

I''ve got a few more I''d like to try on, so we''ll be heading to different shops as well.

That first dress is the one that my friend chose for her wedding. It looks so lovely when it fits the girls properly. I heart that dress.

I''m a huge fan of the first dress on you!!! I think it is very flattering on you. The second one is nice too, but a little too busy and overwhelming on you. Go for the first one!

I like the 2nd one on you!

First one is very nice on. Second one isn''t doing you any favors. I''d try other places but if you dont find anything else you love, that first one is very pretty on you and flattering as well.

I like the first one too, I like the off-the-shoulder v-neck on you a lot, but I agree you should keep looking. Bring back more pics for us to see!!

I actually tried that 2nd one too and loved it - ultimately passed for all the reasons already mentioned here: it just wasn''t well made and there were a few too many pick-ups. . .BUT I did take from that try-on a lot of information about what I did and did not want. It''s a bit ironic that I didn''t wind up with a halter top dress since I tried almost exclusively halters after that one. . . Good luck in your search!

Thanks again guys - I promise, these won''t be the last pics you see from me!

Surfgirl, you made a good point in another thread about a dress with pickups... JUST SAY NO! I read that, and the more I think about it, I need something timeless... not trendy... Although, I like the look of it, I am heeding your always wonderful advice, although not given directly to me, and not going trendy - we need classic.
