It's one of my favorites. And one of the pieces that made me want a thin delicate halo on my diamond and flush fit bands on either side. Plus it started my love of pear diamonds, which I had never appreciated before. Very inspiring piece.
Hi - yes, I''ve been MIA for awhile...got the flu, and then a sinus infection on its heels, and that put me out of commission for over a month. Ick. Anyway, I''m glad that you like my ring! I bought the stone before my PS days so I know that the stone has some specs that are out of the 1A range for pears. This is what I recall offhand: (the papers are in a lockbox somewhere):
weight: 1.5 ct
color: D
clarity: VS2
girdle thickness: thin to slightly thick
l to w ratio: 1.5
symm: vg or excellent, can''t remember.
depth: in the high 60s (it is definitely a little deep)
fluor: none I forget what the table is, and I don''t even know if there were crown or pavillion angles listed - I bought the stone pre-PS and it was picked by ''sight.'' Shooting for numbers is definitely good but for fancies ya gotta see ''em too.
As for the ring, the band thickness is approx 1.8 to 2 mm (the shared prong half is slightly thinner).
The ring is platinum. It is half eternity, not full eternity. The diamonds in the shank were set shared prong, the ones in the halo, I don''t know, just set into the metal. The small diamonds are 2 pointers (though I''ve always wondered if they were really 1 pointers), F/G color and SI1 clarity.
Hope that helps!
