Here are the last two projects that I had scheduled this year with Julia Kay Taylor. I had reserved a total of six spaces spread out from January to August, and thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them. I found Julia to be very easy to work with on every level. I was happy in the case of these 6 projects to give her a general idea of what I wanted, and then let her have fun with the designs. I gave ideas, feedback and approval, but for me, part of the fun was in watching what she came up with. She's one of the few artists I would feel comfortable doing that with, frankly.
First up, a band set with a 5.8mm Barry Bridgestock lilac spinel, in 18k yellow gold, and accented with diamonds.
Julia and I joked about needing to have an odd number of diamonds to please both of our senses of symmetry, even though there really wasn't room for a 5th one anywhere. This is what she came up with:
