Close up #1 Yes, that's right. A feather on one guy's head and the other's a sloppy eater. Also have a duck in the water with his booty in the air. I am incurably silly...

The title is: "Honk!"

It's painted in water soluble oil paint and is 3 feet by 4 feet.

It''s beautiful. I''m in awe of your talent! I come from a long line of science geeks, no one has an artistic bone in their body......

I love this! I really like your color usage. Are you self-taught, or did you go to school for this? Just wondering, you''re very talented!

I love it Missy! You are a wonderful artist.

My son would love that painting... all he would say is "Duh! Duh! Duh!" pointing like mad! That means "Duck! Duck! Duck!" in case you are not fluent in 16-month-old.

Geese with attitude! Love it!!!

My quirky story: was always recognized as talented in art. Got various scholarships to youth art programs and a full 4 year merit scholarship to the University of California for art. But I got really disillusioned in college. I have always wanted to be a realistic/figurative artist, but at the time, it was all about big ideas and painting what you feel. Nothing against that in theory, but generally when people learn that aspect before learning the tough stuff like anatomy and technique, things can get pretty sloppy. Anyway, I could n''t find the training I wanted and ended up always shy of where I wanted to be. Add into that my perfectionist tendencies. I decided if I couldn''t be the best, what was the point? I basically gave up art for the next 12 years. Had great experiences in other fields and felt I didn''t miss it at all. When we moved to Holland, I stumbled upon a drawing group, and the desire flooded back. This time around, I had the internets! And could find the structured courses and great teachers that I previously wished I had had. That provided the final key. It''s been 3 years now, and it keeps getting better! I''m showing a lot and selling a decent amount. My next goal is to be picked up by a gallery here. After I get back from the States, I''m on a mission to complete a series of paintings and I''m gonna walk right up to a gallery and get them to represent me. Life can really blossom after 40

Here''s a picture of my studio. My dear husband spent 4 months converting the attic into a perfect little studio. On the computer is a Simple Minds video. I was totally rocking out to the 80''s during this painting...
