Here''s the riddle:
My girlfriend has a size 6.25 band on her finger (we''re going to use it as a wedding band). It rotates when she is not bloated, and it won''t come off at all when she is (you know.... women.. they''re like blowfish around their "time of the month").
I would think to get a 6, since it''s probably easier to increase the size rather than decrease the size; on the other hand (well, literally, on the same hand), she will be placing the engagement ring further up her finger, towards the knuckle.
As you folks probably know, fingers usually increase in girth a bit between the bottom-most band spot towards the knuckle. The wedding band is about 4.3 or 4.4 mm (plus or minus) and the engagement band, about 4mm. So should I get a 6.5 or 6? Also, she is losing weight (a lot. long story), so her finger will probably decrease in size (permanenty.. again, long story).
I''m leaning towards 6. Even if it''s tight now her finger aught to get smaller when she drops the weight, right? Is it orders of magnitude easier to increase ring size rather than add material to decrease ring size?
Thanks
