Finding Diamond Dealer By GIA #

I remember having read a post a few weeks ago on this or another forum where and individual documented the steps he took whereby he was able to find a diamond he liked on one of the online drop shipper's website, track down the supplier of the diamond by its GIA number and purchase directly from the wholesaler at a deep discount. Now I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know what i'm referring to?

No such thing as deep discount You get what you pay for with diamonds. This forum just helps you get the best bang for your buck....I am not sure that you can find who has a stone by the GIA number.......sounds fishy sorry

If you give us what stone you saw maybe we can help you located a great stone in your budget but a speciifc stone if it is on Rapnet or it might be in one of the virtual stone searchs Blue Nile, or WF or JA or the tool above on this site.

Sometimes you can locate a diamond by specs. Do a search here for size, color, clarity. Sometimes you will find the same diamond offered by several vendors and the price may differ. It is worth paying a little more to get good return & upgrade policies.
