Find the best cut diamond for my budget please

Hi I am trying to find the best cut diamond for my budget to get the most sparkle /fire etc...

My budget for the stone is about $14000
Princess cut
Colour I am happy with "I"
Clarity I am happy with vs2

Size I am wanting 2.0 carat

I am new to this so am learning it will be going in a platinum setting solitaire
Obviously I want to get the best I can , if I can get an ideal or close to hearts and arrows ? Does that apply to princess cut ?

A princess cut does not display the hearts and arrows pattern associated with the round brilliant cut. Look for spectral image photography to get a sense of a diamond's performance, as it can be a very useful comparision tool. GIA or AGS certification is always recommended.

I think you might want to switch your priorities for color and clarity. Princess cuts tend to show more body color than rounds, so I probably wouldn't recommend an I, especially in the size you're looking at (where color is more noticeable). However, their facet pattern is able to hide flaws pretty well, so you could easily go down to SI1 or even SI2 as long as you were able to see a picture of the stone to see what kind/where the inclusions are.

Princesses do show color more than rounds. Would you consider more like H/SI1 or SI2 (eye clean)?

Yes I would consider a H diamond as long as it were eye clean.
