I will bump you.
Never heard of them, but they have a web site, looks to be a nice store...the last 4 diamonds I have purchased have been online, this has been the only place I can find what I want from vendors (mentioned on this forum) who sell the most beautiful stones you will ever find for the best price & value I can find.

Would need much more information (lab report, Idealscope, picture images, etc) to determine anything on the stone you are looking at.

Based on your previous threads, try Yelp.

I don't want to insult you or upset you by saying this, but trying to help you can be extremely frustrating, because you ask for help but don't really want to take it, when it is given to you.
Those people are asking for $5800 for a .80ct diamond, I color, VS2 clarity, triple ex cut? I checked and it seems that this is approximately double the money that you'd pay for a stone with the same specs online. Which means that they're ripping you off....
Not to mention that you're not telling us whether the diamond that they're trying to sell you comes with a GIA report or not.
One last thing: As Gypsy advised you on your other thread, don't buy a Very Good Cut diamond for an engagement ring...It's WRONG.

Try Karagosian in Sylvan Lake

Okay... I lack the tact Gypsy was commended for in one of your other threads.

You have started five threads in two days on this topic asking for help. Gypsy has singlehandedly dragged you kicking and screaming into a few realisations, yet you seem completely uninterested in considering the remainder - or even explaining why you refuse to consider them. We can't help you if you don't know what you're thinking. We can't help you if you won't share what you're thinking. We can't help you if you refuse to take our reassurances and recommendations seriously. I neither know nor care which of those is the case - I am, however, very surprised that Gypsy has continued trying to help you as much as she has, and I'm confident she must be losing patience.

In any case, some other thoughts for you to perhaps consider:

That 0.8ct E VS GIA-VG that you apparently have on hold is about as good as it gets for a GIA in terms of numbers on the report. It is the very, very rare type of GIA-VG whose numbers qualify it to play in the big kids' pool with the GIA-EXs and AGS0/1s.

I would consider it for me.
I would not recommend it for you unless you really are out of other options, or out of time (which may well be the case, actually).
Why? Because there's more to buying and owning a diamond than the numbers on the report.
1. Insurance. Unless you get a very thorough, cut-quality centered appraisal (which takes time, costs money, and quite possibly requires shipping out-of-state), all your insurance provider will be required to match in case of a claim is GIA-VG, specifics be damned. The odds of them finding a "like kind and quality" that is actually of like kind and cut quality given the mass of miserable GIA-VGs out there are... rock bottom. And if you're financing the ring you can't afford not to insure, and you can't afford to simply buy another if you don't like what your insurance provider comes back with. At least with GIA-EX - any GIA-EX - it's guaranteed not to be a total doozy.
2. The report is from 2011. There is no chance the stone has been sitting on a shelf for three years - it was most likely set and worn, and careless setting and wear and tear can leave marks. You certainly want an independent authority (appraiser, probably) to confirm that the stone is still in exactly the condition represented by the report... which takes time and costs money, but wouldn't require shipping out-of-state.
3. Upgrading. If, say, you and your wife want to upgrade the stone, you'll get less for it than for a GIA-EX of comparable stats, even though it's got promising numbers. You won't be able to sell it for as much should that become necessary. You won't be able to trade it for as much to put toward something else.

ETA: I know you'll ignore this, but I feel compelled to state it anyway for the record: financing a luxury item IS fiscally irresponsible. There's simply no way around that. Unless you're graduating this year and have a solid job lined up, financing $7000+ of luxury item when you know you have have several other large expenses coming up (weddings are NOT cheap, and that's just the beginning) is... incomprehensibly insensible, to me. You stated in your other thread that she loves *you*, not the ring, so she'll be happy with whatever you get her... is she aware that you plan to finance? If not, I urge you to consider talking to her and making sure she understands your current means. You're in school, not having thousands to drop on diamonds is the norm and it's certainly nothing to be ashamed of!! And you may just discover that she'd prefer a lower-key ring and less debt... or she may not! Either way your finances are about to become her business and hers your's, so it's a good opportunity to discuss goals and priorities.

Yeah. I've given up.

I gave you everything you asked for and more. I even helped you figure out that you were COMPLETELY out of the park on the setting.

I keep telling you that all these jewelers you are asking about are ripping you off. You don't want to listen.

I told you where Pearlmans is, it's local to you and we've done business with them for YEARS and know how good they are. I found a gorgeous IN HOUSE stone for you that saves you THOUSANDS. That can be set into any setting in stock IMMEDIATELY. : https://myapps.gia.edu/ReportCheckPortal/getReportData.do?reportno=1156401401&weight=0.850 85 points 3,640 H SI1.

Told you JA has financing. I think Pearlmans does too. (Although I agree with Yssie on that too). If you are strapped for time JA is a great option. I even found you stones on there that could save you thousands as well. Their six prongs SOLITAIRE settings start at 350. They have a SIXTY DAY NO QUESTIONS ASKED RETURN POLICY with free shipping both ways. And will save you time and money.

And you still don't want to listen.

I get that you are in school and stressed out and in love.

Doesn't excuse your willful stubbornness in the face of solid advice from people who know the jewelry trade (instead of random people you talk to who may have bought one ring, and probably got ripped off for it in their ignorance) and seem to want to listen to sales people (who have a vested interest in scaring you off the internet because they can't compete) instead of people who are only helping you out of the goodness of their hearts and who do not in anyway get paid (we don't, none of us).

But if you want to keep doing what you are doing. Go for it. I'm done.

I live near you and went to several local stores and almost all of them had vastly over priced diamonds. Some didn't even call me back once they figured out I knew more than the average consumer (thanks PS!).

And as gypsy said all my friends that told me how great their jewelry store was, were a complete rip off. Most of them walked, in people were nice, so they trusted a salesperson and got ripped off.

I worked with good old gold, night and day difference in how the present diamonds. Way better price and most important quality. Many of the vendors recommended here have B&M stores. But from your other threads it sounds like you content on overpaying.

OMG thank you .........I have a 22 and 24 year old and this is how they are they don't listen and keep doing what ever they want. Just buy what you think she will like ..The rest of us got rings when we were first engaged and we were fine. Although we are trying to give him great advice he's going to do what he thinks is best anyway so just do it and stop opening new threads.

Sorry my basement flooded i'm home alone for a week without my husband I saw the plumber the Proservice men and the adjusterr . I have 7 fans in my basement and they ripped up 1500 square feet of carpet that I had laid after I lost the basement to Sandy . So I am overly cranky.
