Here ya go, and there would be a 5% PS discount as well. Nice stone. (size you want may not be doable, be flexible, not that much difference)

I would personally find it weird that you are paying so much for vvs2 but have a H color. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying H is a bad color, but the combination is a little weird.

My understanding is that it is more expensive to pay for one grade higher in clarity than one grade higher in color.

I''m not sure if things have changed since I got my ring in May 2007, but that certainly wasn''t the case for me. We bought an I/VVS2 princess, and the price jump from I to H and above was prohibitive. I didn''t even look for VVS2 clarity specifically; it was just within the budget. There were actually I/SI1 stones going for similar prices around the same time, if I remember correctly.

The way prices go up because of a higher color or clarity is not that straightforward. In this specific area, F-VVS2 is a relatively expensive combo. Going down to VS1 or to G-color both would bring about a 20% lower price-level. You could say that the price suddenly drops after F-VVS2 in both directions. It then depends upon your priorities which you want to choose.

Amazing finds all, esp that IF and G/VVS2. Good luck SFAR!

Hi Shopping - there is no visible diff to untrained eyes (and certainly not to someone without a loupe) bet vs1 and vs2 if you want to include that - not trying to push you out of your comfort zone as I understand the cultural thing, I just want to make sure you are aware you may be able to open your possibilities. If not that is fine. Usually if someone is open to VS1 they are open to VS2 also.

for consideration..

Not always the case - esp in larger size stones where both color and clarity become more evident - there is no linear relationship and it also depends on which colors you are going between and which clarities - huge interplay of sizes/clarities/colors.

What about this little guy?

1.22 F VS1 Scored a 1.6 on the HCA

Send them an email and they can get you an Ideal Scope shot.

Wow, I would take the H IF that Cleo posted or the 1.18 GVVS2 that Cocosgirl found!
Since they''re both from GOG, maybe you should just call Jon and see what he has in your price range with high clarity.

Nice picks, ladies!
