Finally set my amethyst - pics!!!

I got this amethyst from Barry Bridgestock ages ago and had it set recently. I really like how it came out. The only thing I would change is to make the shank taper in toward the stone. I think that would make the ring look much more delicate. BUT, I do love it anyway!!! It kind of reminds of a king''s ring or something that would be in a treasure chest!!

Tourmaline Lover: I got the setting at a local jeweler in Tampa, FL called Silverburg''s. I knew I wanted to set it in yellow gold and something engraved or scrolly-looking. I checked a bunch of places but the jeweler at Silverburg''s had the perfect thing (or almost perfect, as I mentioned, once it was set I could see that the shank should taper in, but still quite nice!).
