Finally set a 5.36 carat peachy tourmaline in platinum 3 stone setting!

I came across this lovely peach tourmaline and it was just the right dimension’s for a ring I had with a center moissanite in already. This was a 5.36 peach tourmaline listed by Jim McCormick on Loupe Troop. I don’t know a lot about the gem but the color was reallly beautiful. I have tried putting peach stones in rose gold setting’s but they just don’t look good on my skin tone. I prefer the contrast of the color with platinum. Side stones are a loose pair I picked up from Ivy & Rose that are about .40 tcw ’’I’ color.

I love the contrast too. It makes such a difference. I am also glad I saw this stone in person before setting it. Colored stones are really hard to buy!

That’s exactly why I picked it. It was unusual to find a gemstone in almost an exact 11x9 size and also in this color. I think I had been casually waiting to find one for the last 3 year’s!
