Hello everyone,

I''ve spent about the last three days searching these forums, its been a great experiance. I walked into the e-ring thing without an idea of what was what. Today I selected my cushion diamond from one of the forums sponser. Its a 1.01 carat D colored VVS2 Clarity, Strong Blue Fluorescence. I was looking for a stone with Blue Flourescence and thankfully it was actually cheaper going this route. Just to confirm a Strong Blue Flour will not look "milky or oily" in sun light or any light for that matter.

Correction:

A strong blue fluo. Diamond might look milky or oily or hazy in natural light, but its pretty rare...
There is a greater chance it will have a over-blue appearance in direct sunlight..., but depending on who..., it could be a welcome phenomena...

If you expect no change in appearance what-so-ever make sure you have a good and clear return policy...

Thanks for the info DiaGem, I''m buying the diamond over the internet so I wont be able to inspect it till its in my hands. Is there any questions I should ask the dealer berfore they ship it out? I have a copy of the GIA report I doubt it will indicate if it will look hazy/milky in natural light. The dealer has a 30 day return policy, the website is JamesAllen.com

My girlfriend loves diamonds that have blue flou! Its a great deal for me since most people tend to stay away from them the prices are generally cheaper

Some do..., me included..., but you made it sound as you are worried it would be oily-milky...

I would suggest for you to ask JA for a professional opinion based on numerous lighting environments...

Good luck,

I''m ready to buy the diamond but that is the one issue tha is holding me back. I''m give them a call and ask for their professional opinion of the diamond in various lighting environments. Thanks again!
