So hopefully I do this right the first go round! Months back you all helped me on my quest for an old miner’s cut. What I ended up falling for was an Old European Cut that I absolute love more each day. Lots of character. The perfect warmth and vintage look I was going for. It was originally set in a pretty large art deco setting. I ended up having the jeweler reset it in a platinum vintage band . The diamond is flanked by two baguettes.

The particulars I can remember without the GIA cert on hand...
Center stone carat weight: 1.51
Color J
Clarity SI2
Polish Good
Ring size is 7

I do notice one inclusion right smack in the center of the stone (someone mentioned carbon..if that's a regular inclusion I'm a total newbie at this). You can only see it at certain angles. Funny thing....somehow I like it even more with that imperfection. Kind of reminds me of myself ;-)

I am obviously not the best at photos and the color is not on point with me and my IPhone 6.Also seems to pick up a line on the left side that really isn't there...who knows?! This day I had it paired with my wedding band and two eternity bands I received from my husband. What's great about it is I can really mix it up with other bands. I'll share more of those later.

Anways, enough talking. Her she is and I totally adore her. And she is SO DARN ME!

Obviously I’ve got to work on my camera skills because these photos do not to her justice ...one step at a tIme.

:appl:It is beautiful!!

Really beautiful! And I love a bit of unique personality. Diamonds are like people: each one if different. More pictures!

Gorgeous!!!! She's an absolute beauty! Love your stack too! And I second the request for more pics :appl:

Glorious! She’s beautiful!!

Beautiful. Congrats on your find. Do you mind sharing the diameter of the solitaire? It has great presence on your finger! I am in the process of sourcing an OEC and would appreciate to get an idea on the dimension of a 1.5ct OEC. Thank you.

I’ve played around with the stacks and tend to not wear with my anniversay ring as it seems to compete (it’s a 1.75 carat Art Deco from the 1920’s that stole my heart 3 years ago)
Also the sharp edges of the band don’t seem to flow as well with the new ring .

I’ll look on the GIA and see if that has diameter...

And thank you all for the complinents! When I got engaged 15 years ago I was all “princess with a halo” but deep down the warmth and character of these always appealed to me.

Beautiful!

Love the ring and the setting. Beautiful.

Lovely! Congrats!!
