im super excited to get the stone, but i know the setting wont blow me away. My dream setting wont come until i sell my current ring. I think if i sell it for a pretty fair price itll be enough to get exactly my dream.

Even the setting I was pleasantly surprised with. I thought I'd hate it. Its not my forever setting, but I can handle it.
The color is perfect! Its not white but I have yet to see any yellow. Its kind of a candlelight/ bone type color. Its romantic and perfect with the yellow gold.

the second picture is in a dim lit room, my only lamp has a yellow lap shade, and the paint in the room is keylime pie.... point is, the area couldnt be more yellowie, and it still looks great. And honestly, this photo is the warmest ive seen it look so far, to my eye it doesnt look near this warm. honestly i am in LOVE with the color. i dont think id be happier with a D

Yeah the knife edge turned out much better than i expected. I think i could handle that for half a year or so while i wait to sell my ring, if i have to but of course, that 5 stone is just calling my name even MORE now that the stone is here

As soon as i got home i was like "sweetie sweetie come look at this stone and my pear together..." he can totally see the difference and why i want to sell it, and i think that might speed up the sale.

Ill get on that rolling ring ASAP. I was concerned i wouldnt like the YG with it. I thought it might be too warm. Thats one of the reason i went YG with this temp band. It actually looks good together. I think when i do my 5 stone im going to do it two town, all the basket stuff will be WG and the shank will be yellow. I really like the color with my band

I cant get over the fact this stone is a k. As much negative press as that color gets here, it looks just so romantically perfect.

Very pretty diamond ring.

That is my all-time favorite, a smaller solitaire in a simple metal band. It is what I choose to wear on a daily basis because it fits in so well with my lifestyle. I'm not one for a ring that needs to be babied.

i know this isnt exactly accurate but i did a little test to see if the 4.5 side stones i was considering would look good. the proportions to my hand arent the greatest, but the proportions to the diamond should be about right.. and they look good next to each other... so thats helpful, at least, to my eye. There would be another set after that. were thinking 3.5 right now.

You're right DS I am enjoying the RB. Its funny though my pear is only 6points larger but with the halo and shape difference the size difference is staggering.

By when you compare the two there is no question I'm going to love this!

I'm definitely going 5 stone, my sausage fingers crave more coverage. As soon as I sell the pear I'm going to go with ERD for budget reason. I'm hoping to get a setting similar to the classic Cartier setting, with the swooping cathedral and that band around the diamond in the prongs. That's the dream anyways. I've been toying with the idea of 6prongs on this stone, 4 on the first set and 3 on the last. The basket and all that in WG, and the shank itself in yellow.

I'm thinking right now having the first set 4.5mm and the second 3.5

Here's a second mock up I did for a 5 stone. Obviously finger coverage is t accurate, but I was more going for the proportions of the diamonds.

Somewhat of a update, Timeless Designs that you introduced me too has quite a few rings that I really like AND the great thing is they work with a local store. They basically can make any of their rings into the ring I want plus they will send sample rings so I can see before I buy. (I must admit, your change makes me unsure of what I really want, I never wanted a halo until I realized very recently that I want bezel set)
(I am still waiting for a response from Quest about adding halo)

Bah I'm sorry! I didn't want you or Fi.Z to think my change had to do with the setting. I think its beautiful! It just couldn't make up for the pear being less than what I wanted.....

If they will give you temps to look at, maybe look at a halo and a three stone with ovals...

I really think a halo is a good idea for you. It can sit nice and high and the bezel set will add so much finger coverage.

I didn't want to have you second guessing yourself. Your design sounds stunning
