Final Opinion on 2 1.5 Round-Please HELP!

Can you please tell me - based on clarity of these two stones ( that you can see on report) which would be a better pick....??? I am trying to make the final decision, and I am just not sure...

Is the knot an issue with ex polish?

I''d go with the one without the knot.


BUT I personally like the angle combo better, and I''m scared of knots - and that may well be an irrational fear.

Yep, I like the diamond better with the knot, but I am afraid...not sure if I should be.

Do you think with an excellent polish that it could be that the knot is not an issue? Would a knot change the visual of a diamond the way a cloud would ?

I would not get the one with the knot based on what the experts said in your other thread. I think it is highly likely it would be eye visible since it is on the table. Polish just means the stone has been buffed up, so I doubt it has anything to do with whether or not the knot could be a problem in the future, i.e. come out and leave a cavity. I think for the amount of money you are spending, it is a risk and a compromise I am unwilling to take.

In all liklihood the other diamond will be good. The minute diffeences in cut that we obsess over on PS can sometimes over exaggerate the real life differences in performance that you will see.

Do you think a 7.3x7.3 will look much smaller than a 7.5x7.5 in person?

And with a budget you just can''t have it all, unfortunately. In this case you sacrificed a little bit of size in order to gain the confidence of no knot.

Yssie- I think you are right.

I still really like the knot one.....oh well. I am just paranoid about clouds being mentioned anywhere due to the fact that the one I got was so bad.... and it is making me a nut right now.
