Have really enjoyed the threads on FICs. Which stone would
be a better choice?

I'd really be interested in comparing both...but I have to wonder if, to the extent FIC qualities are attractive, they won't be consistent with option #1. Clearly, it's close to the border. Not insignificantly, option #2 is an odd bird for other reasons, with high color and low clarity. And then there's the spread difference. With that in mind, though I'd be predisposed to preferring #1 (price spread?), I'd certainly be interested in comparing their looks, and would have to want to be open to #2 winning me.

(edited to add)...I don't talk minor facets, so for those that do, that may add further clarifying to the equation.

#1 better spread and better lgf% - looks like gia numbers so need a sarin scan to tell for sure.

#2 not an optimal lgf% for the combo even taking into account the rounding. would need a sarin scan to tell more.

An ideal-scope image would help also.

What about symmetry and inclusions in SI2?

75% lower girdle facets are good for getting larger flashes of fire. EightStar diamonds usually feature that. I'd check more accurate data about #2 as better candidate for fiery stone.

3D Sarin file would definitely help. Or ask your vendor about more accurate (not rounded) numbers and check for girdle digging.

Bluesky, in addition to what's been said, the depth on the second stone is pretty high. This means there is weight in the body you won't see face-up. 0.92 ct diamonds with depth around 61% often spread near 6.30 mm, so you're losing a little bit of apparent size in this one. However, it's unique in that it will have around a 16.7% crown height - which will be very fiery in some conditions.

Is it possible for you to see both? They will have different visual flavors.

Thanks for the replies. Found another stone.
Opinions please. Looking for that FIC.

Take away the "ish."

So, what''s not to like?

Tell us what you think, but it looks encouraging by what you''ve presented, in all respects, not to mention that, for those who like to be conservative, it also meets candidacy for GIA Ex. That, with AGS0 (current?)...sounds really like a winner.

I agree with Storm.

The recent stone llooks OK too - but an ideal-scope shot tells us what we need about the lower girlde darkness.
