FIC H&A

I want to buy a 3ct VS diamond (K, L, M, ... or lower color).




I had a lot of friendly mails with Paul-Antwerp (Infinity Diamonds), and I decided to make a deal with him. I have some TIC ideal diamonds, now I don''t know if he will agree to cut a FIC H&A for me, and if he will find the right rough stone. I know I could mail to him, but I think it''s an interesting question for everybody on this forum.




Paul, I hope you can do this for me when I am back in Belgium !

What would you choose ?




BIC, TIC or FIC ideal cut diamonds ?

In a big stone an FIC with a small table would be great - but you realise if Paul is going to buy a rough that you need to give him some leeway on color clarity.
He might buy what looks like F VS1 and it turns out as G VS2 or E VVS2.
You need to agree on a final price based on the lab report and a price list - or some such gentlemans agreement.

(Paul is a gentleman who you could easily trust)

Oooo. I can't wait to see this one! I'd choose the FIC because I love fire. TIC is the safe choice of course.

Okay, I'm still learning here: I presume TIC stands for Tolkowsky Ideal Cut. What are FIC and BIC? Sorry for the sidetrack.

Hmm having a BIC and having seen a TIC...I love the white brilliance of my stone, but I also really love the fire which I don't really have much of...

TIC is safe middle of the road choice....do you want to go with something that will look more consistent or will look specifically like something ALWAYS. I say this because my BIC is pretty much always white brilliant. In random situations I see some fire. But it's far and few between. So you really have to love fire or w/b to get either....or get TIC to stay middle ground. That said, my Regent seems to have more fire than w/b so now I have a stone for each

Tough question. I would opt for FIC if you decide to not go middle ground.

Hi Stephan,

I hope that you are doing OK in Vietnam. These last weeks have been very hectic, and I do not find sufficient time to follow up Pricescope.

Adapting our Venus-by-Infinity in order to make it more like a FIC is basically no problem.

However, I prefer to wait until the New Year before I find the suitable rough stone for you. These last weeks, the prices in Antwerp are going through the roof, and dealers need to come back to earth before I make some new purchases. Do not worry, the current situation is based on speculation, and prices here will become normal again soon.

BTW VB is not real beer.

Toska you need to get your self down to the Belgian Beer Cafe behind the Blind Institue / Wesley to find out what real beer is.

I've tried most european beers, sure they are smooth and nice tasting. There are more expensive beers than VB, but when it comes down to it, no beer in the world has the tang of a VB.

The tang of VB hits the spot every time.
