Oh lordy! I am so glad ours is gone but I am in the INW. Stay safe!

Not going out! I think Karl may have a bit more than me. He is an hour NW.

What a pretty local. I love snow as long as I don't have to shovel it.

No snow here in southern IN yet...I guess it’s supposed to snow this weekend? Eh. It was 52 today and I’m leaving for the Keys early next week.

About a foot in Northern Chicago burbs.

It's so pretty @AprilBaby and @Bonfire.
Stay warm and safe everyone!

@monarch64 have a great trip to the Keys... It's the perfect time to go and escape the cold of winter...enjoy!

We didn't get as much as expected only around 6 inches, more in the forecast.

I actually envy you. Connecticut has had almost no snow this year, at least not my part of Connecticut. We managed to have absolutely frigid cold with little snow. We did have a white Christmas, though, so I shouldn't complain. I, also, love snow. The cold is less and less pleasant as I age, and that annoys me. It's not my fault that the cold is harder for my body to take now. I have always said you can't complain about both the heat and the cold, so I haven't. I am someone who chooses cold over hot weather. I just put up the heat while I wear long underwear and three layers of clothing on top of that.

It was 80 degrees today in San Jose....

We've had about 9-10 inches of snow over 4 daysand life came to a halt... sooo funny. Schools are closed, public transport was suspended. My kids are super happy.
One snowflake can send Paris into panic mode. (I'm not originally from here, can you tell...:mrgreen2:)

kipari-

I don't know how I missed it that you lived in Paris, but I did. Where are you from originally? I was once in Genoa, Italy right before Christmas and it snowed, which was a once in a century event. It caused madness!

We only got probably 6-8 it looked like lake effect so it wasn’t much of a todo here

We got about 10 inches. Expecting 6 or 7 more tonight and tomorrow.
I’m surprised you didn’t get more @AprilBaby

I'm from northern Germany, so the single snowflake doesn't impress me much...nor my kids...

I can imagine. It looks as if there is enough for them to have fun there, though! :))

:mrgreen2: This was me as a kid...but now I am finished with cold and snow. I need to live in Monaco! Today!!

cheers--Sharon

I'm in Zermatt heading home to Chicago today. My neighbors say we got a solid 8" downtown with potentially more on the way. Really hoping I don't get stranded in London tonight due to weather! And BTW, you want to talk about snow... this place has plenty!!!

@AGBF I feel your pain. I am also one who doesn't love the heat nor the cold. I prefer a temperate climate that stays in the 50s/60s and 70s. At least we get to enjoy that a few days of the year living in the NE right? 8-)

We ended up with around 8 inches of snow.
It cracks me up, when I was growing up we did not get excited unless it was over a foot in one day and now everyone freaks out about 5-6 inches over 2 days.

I know the snow (and freezing rain, yuck) can make life difficult and dangerous, but its so beautiful.

I think these photos prove that!

We've had lots of fresh beautiful snow, adding a lovely topping to the tree branches like icing on a cake.
Today is sunny, mild (a relative term) and a perfect day to get outside.
I had planned on going out early this morning.
But decided to first take a 'quick' look at PS.
I should know better. :lol-2:

Same here, Karl. I used to love to hear that we were getting a foot and a half to two feet! Otherwise, it wasn't real snow.
