thanks packrat - I am such a cs novice it makes me a bit insecure about how others see my choice, but regardless of what anyone else thinks I really do love it and I know that is all that matters, but knowing others think it's nice is great :)

Flygirl - seriously we need more pics lol That artist is awesome - really nice bezels... I have yet to even have a ballpark idea of what silver custom settings cost... is it closer to $50 or to $1000?
Cehra - Much closer to $50. Mine was under $150 from this artist.

I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow. It's bedtime here now.

Very pretty Flygirl! Yup, now you definitely need a thread.

Ha!! This one is described as seafoam blue. No, I don''t own it.

THAT one IS seafoam!!!!! lol :)

haha - just realized the thread is misnamed - it should be "fell in love with a shape" :D

Very pretty aqua teardrop, Sara.

you''re right - it would look really pretty in yg but I think it is a choice for me between white gold (unplated) and silver... if the stone comes back heavier on grey or blue I will do silver... if it ends up having more green than I am expecting I will probably do the white gold. Unplated white gold is my favorite, but I picture this as silver right now. The whole raindrop silver lining sort of thing :)

Ooo. Nice seafoam color.
Right now I''m on the hunt for a mint garnet. I''ve wanted one for years but they get scooped up too fast!

I''m sure it''ll look lovely in either silver or WG also. (& I love unplated white gold too!)
Look forward to lots of pics when you get it!

I''m excited... I''ll get it in 2 weeks. It''s going to america first... ::wistful sigh:: In the meantime I have to figure out which craftsman is best suited for this job... I pretty much know exactly what I want and it''s super simple I think, but I am not super savvy on bezels so I have a couple questions...

Well, partially as a result of this thread, I snagged a seafoam green tourmaline from AJS gems. If the picture is true to life, this is the exact image I get when I think of seafoam:

lol - that''s awesome! Its a pretty stone - but is it REALLY *seafoam*?

Whatcha gonna do with it?

It''s certainly MY idea of seafoam! I probably won''t set it just yet because I have a lot of catching up do to, but most likely it will end up in a ring, maybe set E/W.
