Hello PS. I just discovered PS yesterday and pretty much spent all night researching all your valuable forum topics and expertise. Wow - I can't believe how little I knew about diamonds. My end goal is to get my gf the princess cut of her dreams, but I can see how easy it is to possibly make a mistake if I'm not careful. I guess my question is, which please forgive the ignorance, but how can I truly ensure my princess cut sparkles like a star. It seems as though there are so many specs to consider besides just buying a diamond that is Ideal Cut. Is a table % in the 60s truly important. What do the experts think about Table% and Depth% in relation to the overall sparkle of the diamond. I wish I could just plug these numbers in someplace like the HCA tool but I know that is just for Round Brilliants. I feel like Whiteflash does not have many ACA diamonds that are exactly what I am looking for. Can I go wrong with BN Signature? I feel, with my limited knowledge, I can't just go by GIA excellent cut, because I have seen some forums conclude this is not enough. Any, any, any advice would be so appreciated!

AGS grades cut of princess.
I believe GIA still does not.

Get a princess cut that AGS graded 0.
If you want an even more exclusive (and perhaps more-guaranteed to preform optimally with light) princess cut get branded princess cut like an ACA from Whiteflash or a Solasfera from Good Old Gold.

Crafted by Infinity was very fine but stopped cutting princesses.
They may have a few left.
I know someone who bought one and was thrilled with it.

What carat, color and clarity ranges are you looking for, and your budget?

Welcome! :wavey: I wouldn't recommend Blue Nile for any fancy cuts, because you can't get images of the stones, and the faceting on fancies like princesses can be so different--one might appeal to your eye, another might not. I would also not go with GIA excellent cut, but would try to find an AGS 000 stone, if possible, or at least a vendor with images like Whiteflash, Good Old Gold, James Allen, or Brian Gavin Diamonds.

If you tell us your budget for the stone and what kind of setting you want, we can help you find some options.
