I started a thread on this diamond earlier:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/aca-i-si2-did-i-really-just-find-an-eye-clean-deal.82983/

It''s an ACA SI2 from Whiteflash:

https://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds/Diamond_Details.aspx?idNo=636624

I''m about to wire the money, and those two feathers are starting to make me nervous. Am I just being silly, or are these actually a risk to the diamond, especially in light of me being a very clumsy person who routinely digs around behind and inside computers? I''m putting it in a 6 prong head on top of the Sleek Lines setting, and asked that the feathers be faced towards one of the swept-up sides of the ring to better protect them.

If I''m being silly, tell me to wire the dang money so I can get my pretty ring already, but if you think this stone might live a safer life as a great bezel pendant, share that as well.

Mandi, I am sure you have nothing to worry about, but part of the job of your WF rep is to help you with your purchase, and that includes any concerns you may have about the diamond. The best thing would be is to ask them if the feathers pose any type of durability risk ( which is doubtful) but it may make you feel better to have it straight from the horse's mouth so to speak! WF will be completely honest with you! Unfortunately, feathers or not, if you are unlucky and hit it just the right way, occasionally diamonds can chip, so make sure whatever diamond you get you have adequate insurance, wear it carefully and remove it for any physical work you may be doing, and enjoy it!
